Georgia Railroad is located in Pickens
County, Georgia. Our model
train layout is a modular O
Gauge scale layout depicting North Central Georgia (Pickens
County) in the
mid 1950’s to the mid 1960’s. To us, it is much
more than just about model trains, we focus on realistic structures
and scenery with an eye on the big picture. Concentrating on small
details helps to make visitors feel like they are actually in the
scene. Additionally, we
are dedicated to promoting the hobby of model railroading and
sharing tips and techniques with fellow
modelers.
North Georgia
Railroad loosely depicts the actual railroad and scenery of
North Georgia in and around the towns of Jasper, Tate and Talking Rock
Georgia. In addition, North Georgia Railroad combines many
other features of North Georgia within the
beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. North Georgia
Railroad features the small towns of
Jasper, Tate, and Talking Rock, Georgia, the Marble
Quarry of Tate, Georgia, and highlights the
communities of Bent Tree and Big
Canoe all within Pickens County. North Georgia
Railroad also prominently highlights the Amicalola
Falls in Dawson County and Sky Valley Ski Resort in Rabun
County in Northeast Georgia.
